Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!

Welcome to Hexter Elementary! It is my honor to serve as principal and to welcome both new and returning Hawk families to another exciting year of learning and growth.

The 2026–2027 school year marks an exciting new chapter as we begin the year together in our beautiful new school building. This state-of-the-art campus reflects our community's investment in our students and provides inspiring spaces where every Hawk can learn, collaborate, and thrive.

This year is also especially meaningful as our campus leadership team has successfully completed the Holdsworth Campus Leadership Program. Through this experience, we strengthened our leadership practices and sharpened our focus on building a high-performing school where every student achieves at high levels. The lessons we learned continue to guide our work as we strengthen instruction, foster meaningful relationships, and create exceptional learning experiences for all students.

At Hexter, our theme for the 2026–2027 school year is One Team, One Dream. We believe that when students, families, staff, and the community work together toward a shared vision, every child has the opportunity to succeed. Our commitment is to provide a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where students are challenged academically, supported socially and emotionally, and encouraged to discover their unique strengths.

With more than 30 years in education, I have had the privilege of serving as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. These experiences have reinforced my belief that strong relationships, high expectations, and excellent instruction are the foundation of student success. At Hexter, we are committed to developing confident readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and critical thinkers who are prepared for future success.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. We value the partnership we share with our families and know that together we can make this an outstanding school year.
