Assistant Campus Administrator

I am honored to begin my second year as Assistant Principal at Hexter Elementary and to continue serving alongside Principal Smith, our dedicated staff, and our incredible Hawk families. Hexter is a truly special community built on strong relationships, high expectations, and a shared commitment to helping every child thrive. As we continue this exciting chapter in our beautiful new campus, I remain committed to fostering an environment where exceptional teaching, meaningful learning, and a positive school culture empower every student to reach their full potential.
My connection to Dallas ISD began long before my career in education; it began as a student. Having experienced firsthand the impact that dedicated educators can have on a child’s life, it is especially meaningful to now serve the district that helped shape my own educational journey. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving Dallas ISD as a classroom teacher, campus instructional coach, demonstration teacher, and now Assistant Principal. Along the way, I have helped support campus turnaround efforts, coached educators across prekindergarten through sixth grade, and contributed to districtwide instructional resources. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development from Texas State University and my Master of Education in Urban Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University.
I believe that every child deserves to feel known, valued, challenged, and inspired each day they walk through our doors. My leadership philosophy is grounded in building trusting relationships, maintaining high expectations, and fostering a culture of continuous growth for both students and staff. When teachers feel supported and empowered, students benefit in extraordinary ways. I look forward to partnering with our families and community as we work together to make this school year one filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences for every Hexter Hawk.
